Sympathetically re-backed in green cloth using original green pebbled cloth boards, with gilt lion on pillar motif in gilt to upper board and decorative border in black, and original spine laid-on with gilt titles and decoration; decorative border in blind to lower board; renewed endpapers. Minor wear to corners; small ink-stain to upper board. Tidy ownership inscription to half-title; half-title and p. 385 lightly foxed otherwise contents clean; several leaves unopened. A Very Good copy. Edwards (1831-1892) the English author, poet and antiquarian, was also an intrepid traveller and this volume chronicles her trip to the South-eastern Tyrol, from Monte Generoso to Botzen. £100.00
