INSCRIBED LIMITED EDITION, Number 197 of 250 copies only. Colour frontispiece of the Author from the portrait by Sir John Lavery with captioned tissue guard, and 33 sepia toned photographic plates. Octavo, pp. xvi, 335, [1]. Publishers’ black buckram with gilt title as to spine and grey silk placemarker. Top edge stained blue; others untrimmed. Minor marks to cover cloth; spine faintly sunned. Boldly inscribed to limitation leaf by the Author: “Tales of a Thousand Days and more, Wa-Sha-Qoun-Asin, Grey Owl”. Contents clean and tight. A Very Good copy indeed.

Autobiographical work by British born Belaney as his alter ego, Native American conservationist Grey Owl. Belaney’s imposture went undetected for many years, and was only acknowledged following his death in 1938. Which is not to detract from the impact he had on conservation work in Canada and beyond. Scarce.
