William Hamilton Drummond (1778-1865) was a poet, Presbyterian minister and schoolmaster with revolutionary and philanthropic ideas who was opposed to all hunting and fishing as well as animal baiting. This work in 3 parts celebrates his appreciation of the dramatic Antrim coastline in rhyming couplets. Daniel Gurney (1791-1880) was the youngest son in the Quaker Gurney family of bankers in Norfolk, and brother of reformer Elizabeth Fry; well known for his antiquarian and genealogical interests as well as his influential position in Norfolk society.
