Prize Binding. Royal octavo, pp [6], iv, 823. Frontispiece portrait of Scott, engraved title page and 24 engraved plates, each with tissue guard, plus facsimile letter. Midnight blue full calf by Bickers & Son of Leicester, with 5 raised bands, gilt titles and decoration to compartments, gilt ruled and foliate borders to boards and school crest to upper board; tooled dentelles. Aeg; marbled endpapers. Spine and portion of upper board lightly sunned; edges rubbed. Royal Grammar School printed prize plate dated 1909 to front pastedown, completed in ink. A little scattered light foxing mainly to prelims, and a little offsetting otherwise contents clean and tight. A Very Good copy indeed.
 
The most complete collection of Scott’s Poetry to date, which includes Songs and Fragments and various specimens from the Memoirs as well as the Metrical Romances and Miscellaneous Pieces, the former of which were not printed in earlier editions of Scott’s work, presented here in a superb fine binding. Heavyweight so a contribution towards increased postage costs will be requested for overseas delivery.
