English Heritage Archaeological Report no 21, on the excavation from 1965-1978 which uncovered a settlement and two cemeteries in Essex. This remains one of the most extensive Anglo-Saxon excavations to date and this report concentrates on the structures and artefacts from the settlement, giving special attention to ceramics and including a full inventory of finds in their contexts.
