FIRST EDITION. 12 mo, pp xi, [1], 166. Recased in quarter black cloth with gilt titles to spine, using original printed boards. Boards a little foxed & soiled, and bumped with wear at corners and edges. Retailer’s ticket to front pasedown; no annotation or inscriptions. Scattered foxing, mainly to prelims and endpapers. Many leaves unopened. Overall condition: Very Good.
 
“Embracing Firstly, the Mining Customs Articles, Duties and Officers of the Wapentake of Wirksworth, and of the Manors or Liberties of Crich, Ashford, Stoney Middleton and Eyam, Hartington, Litton, Peak Forest, Tideswell, and Youlgreave, in the County of Derby; and Secondly, the Practice and Proceedings of the Several Great and Small Barmote Courts of the Above Mentioned Places.” Scarce volume on the special practices and courts relating to the Derbyshire mining industry, of which the Wirksworth Great Barmote Court is the only survivor today.
