Original decorative paper wraps with riverside scene and castle. Advertisements to endpapers. Covers soiled with nicks and creases to edge; initials and date inscribed to front cover. Extensive light foxing mainly to to textblock edge and prelims otherwise contents clean and tight.
Popular guide regularly updated into many editions in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. A particular feature of this work are the many detailed illustrations accompanying the descriptive text. Scarce, especiallyly in the original paper wraps.
