Book Condition: Very Good. Publishers’ navy blue cloth with gilt titles and ruling to spine, and blind border to boards. Cover cloth lightly rubbed to edge and upper corner of lower board bumped. A little minor foxing, mainly to textblock edge. Inscribed by the Author to ffep: “E H Duckworth with best wishes Jan 1925 Napier Shaw”; no further inscriptions or annotation. Endpapers and frontis lightly toned.
The Standard Work on the subject at the time. Shaw (1854-1945) introduced the air pressure unit “millibar” and was an early student of air pollution.
