Volume II only of two volume set. FIRST EDITION. Octavo. [5], pp 2- 328. Book Condition: Good. Quarter plain grey paper with grey paper-covered boards. Spine rubbed with minor loss at head, wear at tail and splits at majority of upper joint (upper board still attached but just) and 2 inches approx at top lower joint. Boards soiled and stained with wear to edges and small loss at corners. Scattered foxing; largely erased early ownership inscription to front pastedown and tidy inscription of noted Shakespearian scholar Professor Ernst Honigmann to title page.
Contents include essays on the tragedies of Hamlet, Othello, King Lear and Macbeth. Rare.
