Quarto. 205 pp. Eight mounted colour plates with captioned tissue-guards plus twelve tipped-in plates in pencil, by Archibald Thorburn. Book Condition: Near Fine. Jacket Condition: Very Good. Publishers’ green cloth with gilt titles to spine and upper board, in unclipped cream pictorial dust-jacket. Signed by the Author in ink, without dedication, to limitation leaf. A handsome copy. A little very faint foxing and toning otherwise very clean. Jacket nicked & creased to edge and lightly surface soiled and foxed; two 1-inch closed tears to lower rear edge with associated creasing and small chips to spine tips.
Countryside classic by the Norfolk landowner and sportsman; contents include wildfowling, pheasant and partridge shooting, hunting and changes in farming. Rare in the fragile dust-jacket.
