FIRST EDITION. Quarto. xii, 410 pp. 7 plates including frontis of Seaton Delaval Hall, of which 2 are double-page, plus numerous illustrations, maps, plans, pedigrees and diagrams throughout text. Book Condition: Very Good. Original red cloth with gilt titles to spine and upper board and Northumberland Coat of Arms gilt-stamped to upper board. Teg. Floral endpapers. Inner front hinge slightly weak. Light foxing mainly to early/late leaves and textblock edge; armorial bookplate of Walter Fenwick to front pastedown but no annotation or inscriptions. Spine sunned; a few splash stains to cover cloth and edges scuffed with wear at upper corners. 2-inch split at upper front joint with wear across head of spine. A good example of the ninth volume in the set. Heavy, shipping outside the UK may require a contribution towards postage costs.
