SECOND EDITION, First Printing. Two volume complete set, separately paginated. 12mo, pp xvi, 349, [1]; xii, 367, [1]. Portrait frontispiece engraved by H Meyer from a drawing by A Wivell, dated 1825. Half tan calf with marbled boards; gilt decoration to spine, leather labels with gilt titles, and blind tooling. All edges sprinkled red. Light wear to corners and edges; small loss to edge of lower board Vol I & upper board Vol II. Foxing, mainly to frontispiece and margins; some offsetting to title page. Contemporary ownership inscription of Emma Doyle to each title page; creasing to upper corners Vol II from p 345 (text unaffected). Overall a very good copy.
